Richt Debate

I'm going to chime in on the ole Richt debate. How in the world can anyone consider firing a coach that has gone 63-18 with 2 SEC Titles and came within a hair of playing for the national title in 2002. I mean for his first 6 years as a head coach, how much better can it get??

Look at all the great coaches and teams in the SEC. Only one person can win the title at the end of the year. We have 3 of the top coaches in the game, 4 if you count Fat Phil, in our own division. I mean in 12 years at Florida, jackass only won 1 national title and that was in his seventh year.

I think we are just suffering through a talent gap, and leaders haven't stepped forward on the team. There are no guarantees that our recruits are going to be the next david greene, richard seymour or champ bailey. These guys have to prove it on the field, and need to stop dreaming.

I have heard bulldog fans talking about bringing back donnan and goff. I will just go on the record that we have some of the dumbest fans in college football. Which leads me to the most important question. Who exactly would replace Richt, and in fact out perform him?????

Lloyd Carr?
Tommy Tuberville?
Mike Stoops?
Fat Phil?
Charlie Weis?
Houston Nutt?
Greg Robinson?
Al Groh?

Are you going to go out and find someone that fits the Richt profile as an offensive or defensive coordinator and hope they do well? I'm sure they are some quality coordinators out there, but dawgs fans are ready to throw Richt under the bus for an unknown??? Crazy!

Maybe Bill Belichick is tired of winning Super Bowls and wants more of a challenge.
